Twin Elms/41 Paseo East: Meeting the Demand for Senior Affordable Housing
Project At a Glance
December 31, 2024
In an effort to continue investing in economically distressed communities across the KC metro, the project team led by Community Builders of Kansas City is reinvesting in the Twin Elms/41 Paseo East development by updating existing facilities with 54 new affordable housing units for seniors. The expansion includes numerous interior and exterior renovations in line with the art deco design, as well as community, nutrition, finance, and employment support that adheres to Missouri Housing Development Commission service parameters.
The development is located near key Kansas City nodes, including Country Club Plaza, the Nelson-Atkins Art Museum, and downtown Kansas City. Residents are within walking distance of RideKC's Prospect MAX Bus Rapid Transit line, which offers efficient transportation between downtown and 75th Street.
